Düsseldorf, Germany, 06 August 2026 — Metalshub, a leading platform provider for the metals and mining industry, is pleased to announce that Cargo Metall, a Germany-based trading company headquartered in Halle, has joined its digital platform. The company will leverage Metalshub to run structured Request-for-Bid (RfB) events for aluminium wire rods, lead and lead alloys, supporting more efficient and transparent sales processes for these non-ferrous materials. Cargo Metall is also looking to trade other product categories on the platform in the future, such as ferrotungsten (FeW), antimony, and bismuth.
Ferrotungsten plays a key role in the production of high-performance steels and superalloys, where supply reliability, specification clarity, and competitive pricing are essential. By adopting Metalshub’s digital selling workflows, Cargo Metall aims to streamline customer engagement, standardise bid comparisons, and improve decision-making across its commercial activities.
“Ferrotungsten trading requires a high level of precision and reliable market access. With Metalshub, we are able to structure our selling processes more efficiently and engage with a broader network of qualified buyers.”
Metalshub enables sellers like Cargo Metall to run structured RfB events, ensuring consistent data collection, improved comparability of offers, and enhanced transparency across the sales process. For specialised materials such as FeW, this approach supports better alignment on specifications, pricing mechanisms, and delivery terms.
“Specialty alloys like ferrotungsten are often traded in fragmented markets with limited transparency,” said Dr Sebastian Kreft, Co-Founder and Managing Director at Metalshub. “By bringing these sourcing processes onto a digital platform, companies like Cargo Metall can increase efficiency, access a wider supplier base, and make more informed procurement decisions.”
With the adoption of Metalshub, Cargo Metall strengthens its ability to operate in increasingly competitive and complex raw material markets, where structured processes and reliable data are becoming critical to procurement success.
