Outokumpu Integrates Metalshub Supply Chain Solution Into Its ERP System

Duesseldorf, 21st February 2022- Metalshub, the leading supply chain solution and price intelligence platform for raw materials has announced the successful integration of its system with Outokumpu’s ERP system.

Finnish stainless steel producer Outokumpu has been using Metalshub’s cloud-based solution for digital procurement of raw materials successfully for more than 3 years. Outokumpu has invested into the integration of the Metalshub platform in its ERP system to further improve the efficiency and process robustness resulting from the digitisation of the procurement process.

With this integration, Outokumpu contributes to its strategy to become more data-driven in its supply chain function and digitalise important pre-trade processes. Contracts are being automatically transferred via Metalshub’s interface into Outokumpu’s ERP system. Additionally, information such as purchase order numbers or notifications will seamlessly be transferred from Outokumpu’s ERP system to Metalshub – safeguarding the data consistency across the technological procurement landscape and breaking data silos for the benefit of a fully digital supply chain process.

The integration allows the company to benefit from more timely, secure and accurate reporting, and from increased efficiency with the reduction of time spent on contract creation. This integration paves the way for a rollout of the process of digitalisation to further purchasing categories. Thanks to the seamless collaboration between the technical departments and the joint effort, the project was completed in time and budget.
