Düsseldorf, Germany, 29 January 2026 – Metalshub, the leading platform provider for the metals and mining industry, announces that Metso, a globally distributed network of foundries, is expanding its utilisation of the Metalshub platform to incorporate the Normalisation feature and evaluate a potential ERP integration to further strengthen procurement efficiency across its operations globally.
Following the successful adoption of Metalshub’s digital procurement solution, Metso is enhancing its digital workflows to reduce manual tasks and strengthen consistency across international sourcing. With purchasing teams frequently evaluating offers in multiple currencies and incoterms, the Normalisation feature will automate price harmonisation, enabling clearer comparisons and faster decision-making.
ERP Integration will additionally allow transaction data to flow directly from Metalshub into Metso’s SAP system, eliminating manual entry and significantly improving processing speed and data accuracy.
In addition, Metso is considering ERP integration as a potential next step to streamline transactional workflows further. Once implemented, an integration could support faster transfer of procurement data into Metso’s internal systems and reduce the administrative effort associated with manual entry.
“Managing procurement across multiple sites requires clear, consistent data. By expanding our use of Metalshub and introducing Normalisation, we can compare offers more reliably and reduce manual work in our purchasing process. We are also exploring how ERP integration could further simplify workflows over time.”
The expanded deployment reflects Metso’s commitment to strengthening operational excellence and driving process standardisation across its foundry network. Through enhanced digital capabilities, the company aims to achieve greater transparency, shorter cycle times, and more reliable procurement data.
“We are proud to support Metso as they continue advancing their digital procurement journey,” said Dr Sebastian Kreft, Co-Founder and Managing Director at Metalshub. “By integrating Normalisation and ERP connectivity into their workflows, Metso will be taking meaningful steps toward fully streamlined and data-driven procurement operations.”
Metso’s continued investment in Metalshub’s functionality highlights the organisation’s forward-looking approach and reinforces the value of digital procurement in complex, multi-market purchasing environments.
Metso is a global foundry group providing industrial wear parts and services to a wide range of industries, including mining, aggregates, and recycling. With manufacturing sites across the world, including in Brazil and India, Metso combines metallurgical expertise and operational excellence to deliver sustainable solutions that drive performance and reliability.
