Düsseldorf, Germany, 28 October 2025 – Metalshub, the leading software provider for the metals and mining industry, announces the expansion of its partnership with the MAT Foundry Group, a global manufacturer of automotive components. The MAT Foundry Group will now deploy Metalshub’s procurement platform at Mincer HD and the new state-of-the-art production facility, MAT Foundry Mexico, in Pachuca, Mexico.
This expansion builds upon the MAT Foundry Group’s ongoing digital transformation efforts. It follows the successful implementation of Metalshub at its Eurac Poole site in the UK and two German locations. The move reflects their commitment to centralising procurement operations and leveraging technology to enhance operational efficiency and transparency.
“By centralising procurement and extending Metalshub’s capabilities to our new facility in Mexico, we aim to optimise our raw material spend and make better, data-driven decisions. The real-time analytics and dashboards Metalshub provides enable us to manage purchasing activities across borders with greater agility and control.”
The adoption of Metalshub in Mexico will allow the MAT Foundry Group’s strategic procurement team to streamline sourcing processes, consolidate supplier interactions, and ensure consistent standards across international operations. With centralised oversight, they anticipate improved cost efficiencies and enhanced supplier collaboration in the Americas.
“We are proud to continue supporting the MAT Foundry Group as they expand their global footprint,” said Dr Sebastian Kreft, Co-Founder and Managing Director at Metalshub. “Their decision to extend the use of our platform to Mexico is a testament to the value our solution delivers in driving procurement excellence across borders.”
This development comes after MAT Foundry Group recently sold parts of its European operations. It highlights the company’s forward-looking strategy to realign its global production and sourcing to better serve important markets.
Consisting of nine companies and stretching across three continents, the MAT Foundry Group is leading the world in the engineering and manufacture of cast and machined products serving the passenger, commercial, and heavy-duty vehicle markets as well as industrial and racing applications. The Foundry Group’s six foundries produce over 240,000 tons of iron per year. The Foundry Group also maintains eight machining facilities across Europe, Asia and Central America.
